At Character Camp’s popular “Precious Princess Weekend” events, pre-teen girls receive not only beauty secrets, STEM lessons and life skills training, but they also receive dental hygiene lessons. Avery Davidson, a certified dental technician, uses anatomically correct educational props to demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques for the girls. Take-home dental packs are donated by local dentists who support the Character Camp cause. The girls enjoy using the props to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts they have learned. Dental health is a key element to overall health in children.
