The Valero Corporation (Texas City site) has saluted Character Camp’s valuable contribution to the community for several years. With the help of the Texas City refinery, Character Camp has been able to launch its Mobile Aviation program and offer valuable flight training to literally thousands of children. Character Camp has conducted flight workshops at Rice University, University of Houston Downtown, Milby High School, Ross Sterling Aviation High School and at other schools and major community events. Valero funds outstanding youth organizations each year through its well-attended charity golf tournaments. As Valero promised, the much-needed funds were awarded on “Giving Tuesday”.
